Photoshop CS4 Extended has been here for quite some time and we have obviously not noticed the 3D rendering tool it boasts,….. UNTIL NOW!

For some reason, the 3D applications of Photoshop aren’t often explored(this is because the “3D” part in Photoshop is intended to be used by movie and animation artists, but it’s amazing what you can do with them once you know how to dig in. Eren Goksel, (a premier graphic artist and a lecturer in Anadolu University) is going to show us how to exploit the 3D tool in Photoshop CS4.

This may be one of the best and the biggest ever tutorial I have ever come across on the web. It is simply brilliant. The attention given to details in the image are impeccable. When I first saw the image, i simply thought it was a work on art in 3DS max or the likes, but was quite frankly, staggered to notice that this was entirely done in Photoshop. This tutorial definitely is a must for everyone, regardless of whether you are a designer or not.

We have seen several text effects and image manipulations over time. In this tutorial, I will be showing you how to create a promotional Ad for one of the biggest sports giant there is… NIKE. There are quite a good collection of artists aroud the globe who design exemplary posters and ads for these brands (Nike, Adidas, Puma etc.). The least we can do is seek inspiration from their work. Nike has always been a trend setter in the Sports world, manufacturing eye catching sports wear, not to mention the ads they use to promote their brand, has always been a motivational factor for us to buy their merchandise.
